Light Island Lodge is a private Alaska fishing lodge in Ketchikan, overlooking the protected waters of Clover Passage with views across Clarence Strait. Surrounded by old-growth forest and located along active salmon migration routes, the lodge offers quick access to some of the best salmon and halibut fishing in Southeast Alaska.
This is a fully private experience. The lodge and boat are booked exclusively to your group, so there are no shared guests or crowded schedules. Just your group, your guide, and your time on the water.
Fishing & Location
Ketchikan is known for its strong seasonal salmon runs and productive halibut fishing. With protected Inside Passage waters and consistent tides, you'll spend less time running and more time fishing. Our location in Clover Passage puts you right in the middle of it.
Wildlife is also a big part of the experience. It's common to see bald eagles in the trees, humpback whales feeding in the strait, orcas passing through, and seals and sea lions right from the property.
Private Lodge Accommodations
The lodge is a fully private three-bedroom, two-bath cabin that comfortably sleeps up to eight guests. It includes two queen bedrooms, a king master suite with a private bathroom, and additional sleeping options if needed.
Inside you'll find a full kitchen, comfortable living area, WiFi, and everything needed to prepare your daily catch. Outside, enjoy the barbecue grill and views overlooking Clover Passage after a day on the water.
Convenient Yet Secluded
Located about 15 minutes from downtown Ketchikan, the lodge offers privacy while still being close to town. Guests can easily access local restaurants, totem parks, hiking trails, and bear viewing areas between fishing days.
