Ketchikan Fishing Lodge
Light Island Lodge
Our lodge is perched above the protected and historic waters of clover passage and looks out across clarence strait. It has a large Alaskan cabin feel, surrounded by old growth timber. Clover passage as well as all of the waters around Ketchikan is a world renowned sport fishing location, it is right on the salmon migration route as they return to the many spawning rivers around Ketchikan. The halibut also follow the salmon and other bait fish into the inside passage. It's very common to watch eagles fishing, whales feeding and anglers trolling for salmon from the front windows. We book the lodge private to your group only, it's a 3 bed 2 bath that can sleep 8. There are 2 queen size beds in 2 of the guest bedrooms and a king size bed in the master bedroom with a private en suite. 2 rollaway beds are also available. It has a full kitchen and barbecue with all the amenities you need to cook your days catch. The lodge is a short 15 minute drive from town.
Ketchikan is the salmon capitol of the world and our town is based around the salmon that return around the island. Being only 15 minutes out of town you can choose to explore the town after fishing and dine at one of our many local restaurants that of course serve fresh seafood right out of our pristine waters.
The town offers an abundance of Alaskan native history. There is two totem pole parks to explore and learn about Alaska native culture and history.
We have many hiking trails that vary from easy to very difficult.
There is multiple places to drive and watch bears fishing for salmon in the creeks and streams.
We book the lodge and boat private to your group only, you are not sharing the lodge or boat with any other anglers. And given that it means you can do things at your own pace and how you want to spend your time.
